Workshop
Inge Brokerhof
This workshop will be about using film as a means for exploring different futures. Movies and series enhance our ability to mentality time travel, spark imagination and reflect on the decisions that we make today.
First, we will look at different ways in which films can help people shape their future work self. By taking elements of film, you can (re)shape your image of who you want to become. When you mentally time travel to the future, what type of life do you want to look back on? What do you want to have contributed? Film can offer us a playful means in which we can explore this.
Second, films can expand our horizon by giving us a way to look into the lives of other people who live in different cultures and times. How can they thereby help us see the ‘bigger picture’? Can films help us reflect on the turbulent time that we live in today? And can it propel us towards to future we want to achieve?
Speckled with film clips and interactive exercises, the aim of this session is to give you a new perspective and a spark of inspiration to take home with you.
